Agastya Green Energy’s ₹7,800 Cr Mega-Plant in Kurnool

As part of the Anubhav Agarwal Group, Agastya Green Energy is spearheading a major advancement in India's renewable sector with a massive new integrated solar manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool district.

Situated in the Orvakal Industrial Area, the upcoming plant will feature a massive 12 GW capacity each for solar ingots and wafers. Backed by a Rs 7,800 crore investment, this strategic expansion bridges a critical gap in the domestic photovoltaic supply chain by complementing the company’s existing solar cell and module production.

Beyond strengthening domestic manufacturing and reducing import dependence, the project is projected to generate over 3,500 direct and indirect jobs in the region.

"This investment reflects our unwavering long-term commitment to India’s clean energy transition, aiming to fortify local supply chains and champion self-reliance in the solar sector." — Anubhav Agarwal, Group Chairman
